Constructive Dialogue Summit

The Birch Wathen Lenox School is charting a new course for open dialogue in K-12 education, exemplified through its upcoming Constructive Dialogue Summit.

While schools are (finally) making efforts to address issues around civil discourse, they often miss the deeper, systemic roots of the problem. Traditional social justice and dialogue consultants frequently overlook how speech restrictions and antisemitism are woven into the teaching frameworks and materials they advocate for.

“This summit will delve into the complexities surrounding free expression in education and emphasize the importance of constructive dialogue in addressing these challenges. Through interactive workshops, participants will explore how to break out of ideological echo chambers, advocate effectively for free expression, and approach nuanced, challenging topics in a supportive and thoughtful way.” More details about the speakers and sessions can be found below.

We hope this serves as a model for how schools can encourage the pursuit of objective truth.
